We are Equal

Color is the first thing you will notice about my work. Like the world around us, what makes it “pop” is the placement and texture of color. Placing opposite pigments next to each other fools the eye and gives it definition and mystery. My artist palette, taken from the prismatic colors in the original rainbow flag, which represent sexuality, healing, sun, nature, art, harmony, peace and spirit. 

We are all equal, yes we are, no matter what laws created to make anyone otherwise. As artists’ it is our duty to invite emotion and inspiration of others through our God given co-creative talents conveyed to us through spirit.  Whether positive, humorous, or thought provoking, my work portrays events people relate to while creating a sense of place for the viewer. In this painting, as in everyday life you see the full spectrum of the colors in our world in my palette and on my canvas. This painting represents the celebration of life of all peoples, no matter what, we are all from the same spirit and we are equal.
